IQ SPHERE TECHNOLOGY

What are Micro Glass Bubbles?

These specialized Micro Glass Bubbles were originally developed as a spin-off from NASA’s space program and now offer innovative companies access to this groundbreaking technology.
These tiny Micro Glass Bubbles are made of chemically stable borosilicate glass and are characterized by their low density and high compressive strength.
The different particle sizes allow for a wide range of applications, including enhanced thermal insulation, sound damping, heat protection, weight reduction, and high flexibility. With Micro Glass Bubbles, we can elevate products to a new level of performance and benefit from the advantages of this innovative technology.

What are Aerogels?

Aerogels are revolutionary nanostructured solids with an exceptionally low density, consisting of an impressive 99.8 percent air and only 0.2 percent silica. As the lightest solids known, they represent a groundbreaking innovation in materials science.
Originally, aerogels were used in space exploration, where they served as insulation for spacesuits and as storage mediums for gases and solids. These fascinating materials are produced using amorphous silica, commonly known as water glass or silicate. This mineral raw material forms the basis for an extremely high-performance insulating material.
The remarkable properties of aerogels stem from their highly porous structure, which allows them to trap air molecules within the pores. This significantly reduces heat transfer, making aerogels unbeatable as an insulating material. With a thermal conductivity of only 0.005-0.02 W/(mK), they are the most efficient option for minimizing heat loss.

What distinguishes the IQ SPHERE Technology?

Our BAUDOCTOR AEROLIGHT products utilize an intelligent matrix composed of aerogel (0.005 and 0.02 W/(mK)) and Micro Glass Bubbles (0.04 W/(mK)) as filling material. This and other smart raw material combinations significantly reduce thermal conductivity, which in turn decreases the temperature difference between the wall surface and the room. This prevents the formation of condensation on the surface. Additionally, it minimizes heat loss through the wall, ensuring that the wall remains noticeably warm to the touch.
Our high-tech thermal protection filler and coating are based on the IQ SPHERE technology, which leverages this intelligent matrix of aerogel and Micro Glass Bubbles. Tests have shown that the BAUDOCTOR Aerolight thermal and mold protection system can lead to energy savings of up to 25% due to its thermal regulating properties.

In summer, the coated wall reflects sunlight, resulting in less wall heating. This contributes to a reduction in indoor temperature by up to 3°C.

The insulation properties are derived from the vacuum’s ability to maintain a constant temperature by minimizing the passage of cooled or heated air particles from the outside.

The BAUDOCTOR Aerolight thermal and mold protection system consists of millions of micro-vacuum bubbles that form a membrane upon application. This results in a more consistent interior wall temperature, leading to greater comfort and a more pleasant indoor climate.

The BAUDOCTOR AEROLIGHT thermal and mold protection system is distinguished by its excellent building physics properties, including outstanding drying and dehumidification behavior. Additional benefits include enhanced protection against algae, moss, or mold.

BAUDOCTOR AEROLIGHT high-tech thermal protection filler and coating work reliably and sustainably based on purely physical principles.

The BAUDOCTOR Aerolight thermal and mold protection system is a dependable partner in energy-efficient renovation and mold prevention.
