1.
Recognizing and Removing Mold
Identifying and removing mold is the first step in remediation. BAUDOCTOR Mold Clean (Mold Stop) effectively binds mold spores on affected wall surfaces to prevent further spread. If wallpaper is present, remove it to optimize treatment. Severely mold-infested or damaged plaster must be thoroughly removed, followed by a careful cleaning of the masonry surfaces to eliminate harmful substances.
2.
Applying Primer Plus Special Primer
To create an ideal base for subsequent steps, apply BAUDOCTOR Primer Plus. This product ensures enhanced and uniform absorbency of the wall and provides an even appearance. Additionally, it offers natural protection to prevent further mold growth.
3.
Applying High-Tech Thermal Protection Fine Filler
The high-tech thermal protection fine filler BAUDOCTOR AEROLIGHT is applied to the wall using a 6 mm notched trowel to ensure a minimum thickness of 1 mm. A smoothing trowel is used for optimal distribution, resulting in an even layer of approximately 1–1.5 mm. The drying time is typically 24 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. Small irregularities can be smoothed after drying using a hand sander with a grit of 200-240.
4.
Final Coating
Apply Ecotherm CoatingApplying BAUDOCTOR AEROLIGHT Ecotherm Coating completes the remediation process. The coating creates a heat-reflective surface that helps prevent wall cooling and the formation of thermal bridges. This results in an improved indoor climate characterized by enhanced comfort.
The risk of mold growth and related health issues is thereby minimized.
